Premier League Agent Fees 2015 - 2016

The Premier League has released details of the Agent Fees paid by its football clubs in teh 2015 -2016 season. Manchester United made the highest total payments to agents, more than £10 million, during a single four-month period between October and February this season, of any Premier League club, according to new figures released today by the Football Association.

Under the new Fifa rules governing transfers, national associations are obliged to publish the total fees paid by clubs to agents – or intermediaries as they are now officially known – as well as the names of those involved in each deal. The period in question is Oct 1 last year to Feb 1, and includes payments on deals or contract renegotiations that may have been agreed outside that period.

Manchester United paid out a total of £10,023,318 in agents’ fees over that period. Liverpool had the second highest total of £6,672,713. Manchester City were the third highest with payments of £5,880,098. The league leaders Leicester City paid just £936,004. The lowest total in the Premier League for that period was Everton on £471,400. The total spend of the 20 clubs was £46,582,843.

In the Championship the highest spenders were Queens Park Rangers on £1,002,232, the only in the division to spend more than £1 million. Birmingham City were the lowest spenders on just £46,000.
